ABOUT HWAPAN

The difference is basically in ideology.
WAPAN believes in integrity as core value,transparency and accountability as watch word.

When the center could not hold, things must fall apart.
WAPAN is a child of necessity to stop water industry from imminent collapse.

The relationship so far is cordial.
Our people in ATWAP dominated areas are mandated to play by their rules.
The interest is in the industry and not in association politics.
The cloud is large enough for all birds to fly according to their capacities.

The issue is the institution and not individuals.
When the foundation is wrong, what can the righteous do?. They imbibe the spirit of love, unity integrity and accountability.

 Being sincere to one another is enough to promote unity.
WAPAN screens members as it is not all -comers association. The problem of one is a problem of all.

 Members provide funds when and where needed, though there is a registration fee. Subscription will still come in but members donate freely and generously because of the display of truth and honesty.
But, funding has never been an issue. People tend to donate money when their businesses are secured and they feel relaxed in their association believing and having confidence in their leaders and Executives.

 WAPAN is barely two(2) years old having been conceived and formed in 2019.

WAPAN does not have strong holds in the North currently, but strong enough in South West and South South regions. However, the goodwill so far generated is promoting the association and other zones are already showing interest.

We attend holders meeting together at the instance of government agencies.
As said earlier, the interest is in the industry and not in individual(s) or association name.
If only other associations can see it that way. However, our vision and mission appear to be divergent.

We are not fighting. The sky is big enough for every bird to fly. Our doors are however widely open for everyone that shares our vision.

Not at all.
However, the activities of some Executives, especially at the National level created much rooms for scrutiny.
Association is meant to serve the interest of members and not being agents of exploitation or marketers of government agencies at the detriment of her members. Every association should be bigger than an individual no matter how highly placed.

 The work one does, speak for oneself.
No supremacy battle intended as Producers and zones are willingly joining the moving train.
And that is WAPAN family.
In Lagos of the twenty (20) zones, it started with four (4) but has grown to twelve (12) in just a few years to the glory of God.
